Level 1 Rockets

The Level 1 Rocket Program is an excellent way for students to get a hands on experience with rocketry.  Club members start on the Level 1’s after completing their Beta Rockets. Once the basic design has been simulated and approved by one of our rocket leads, students then pitch that design to the club via a PowerPoint presentation.  This informs the club about the project, and also gives students a chance to practice their presentation skills.  Once the project is approved, it is then up to the student to build and customize the rocket kit. Once completed the rocket is flight ready!  Launches happen every couple of months and typically happen in the middle of spring semester.  Not only do you get to totally build and fly your own rocket, but you get to become certified to launch them by yourself! Students can earn Level 1 Rocketry Certification. From there, the sky’s the limit!
