WHO ARE WE?
We are the University of Arizona student-led chapter of AIAA, the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
WHAT DO WE DO?
We aim to teach students how to build model rockets or planes. Along the way, students learn how to use engineering software, create presentations and develop professional skills. We also have lots of fun working in teams, going to events, and more!
I DON’T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT PLANES OR ROCKETS! IS THIS CLUB FOR ME?
YES! This club is meant for everyone, no previous knowledge required. We start from the basics, and only go up from there. Every major is welcome and ENCOURAGED! Bring your unique knowledge to an area where so many different minds come together and help make something great. Already know a thing or two? That’s okay too! Skip ahead and start on a more advanced project or talk to a board member to see how we can help achieve your goals.
Career Opportunities
We strive to host plenty of events to get you one step closer to your postgraduate careers. In the past we have held resume workshops and mock interviews with Raytheon engineers, the AIAA local chapter, and guest speakers from various engineering related fields. We also have held multiple technical seminars with topics ranging from MATLAB and RockSim.
